Social Skills Group Therapy for Children

Ages: 8-12 years

This weekly group facilitated by Dr. Joan Hall, LPC assists children learn skills needed to successfully navigate their social environment.

Some of the skills we work on include managing strong negative emotions, understanding personal space, cooperation, problem solving and resolving conflict, making friends, improving self-confidence, and improving self-esteem.

Sessions are outdoors at a farm environment where children have the added benefit of connecting with nature and animals. Nature itself provides a healing space to facilitate improved attention and focus, enhanced creativity, and curb negative thinking.
